Omaha Event Group creates unforgettable event experiences across four premier wedding and event venues located throughout Omaha—from Midtown to Downtown. Our versatile venues are designed to host everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations, and our team plays a huge role in making each event shine.

About the Role

Event Runners provide exemplary customer service by delivering timely, accurate, and friendly support while ensuring events run smoothly before and during service. As the backbone of the event team, Runners maintain clean and organized guest areas and support all staff to ensure seamless event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the runner team throughout the event

  • Assist bartenders with bar setup and ongoing maintenance during events

  • Check in regularly with staff to anticipate needs and provide support as needed

  • Ensure barware is properly washed, unloaded, and restocked

  • Monitor public areas to ensure timely trash removal

  • Ensure bar glass is promptly bussed from public areas

  • Monitor public areas to ensure janitorial needs are met during the event

  • Remove all trash from the venue at the conclusion of the event

  • Assist with venue transitions, including flipping the space from ceremony to reception

Locations

Work may take place at any of our Omaha venues:

  • Omaha Design Center – 1502 Cuming St

  • Garden Room – 1502 Cuming St

  • Empire Room – 200 S 31st Ave #4107 (Midtown Crossing)

  • Leo Ballroom – 2027 Dodge St

Schedule & Commitment

  • Seasonal position: March 1 – December 31 (10 months)

  • Flexible hours required, including evenings and weekends as needed for events

  • At least 9+ hours per week primarily on weekends

  • Pay starting at $16/hour based on experience

Candidate Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between venues

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable standing and being on your feet for multiple hours

  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude

  • Flexible and dependable
